The MBK Acne Detective Professional Estheticians Course™ is designed for certified/licensed estheticians seeking additional acne knowledge beyond what is traditionally taught in esthetics school. It is skincare brand-neutral, theory-based training and not affiliated with any skincare lines. While topical skincare and treatments are important, true skin transformation is only possible when we work from the inside out (Gut-Skin Axis) by addressing root causes such as diet, stress, and lifestyle habits. Acne is much more than a skin condition; it is a chronic, multifaceted, systemic inflammatory disease. It is a visible indicator of complex internal processes, driven by hormones, genetics, gut health, and immune responses, and it deeply impacts mental health and well-being. You can easily apply the knowledge gained in the course to any professional skincare brand you work with.

Did you know that I have been Face Reality Certified since 2015? While I LOVED my theory training based on Dr. Fulton's years of acne studies, I could not use Face Reality products in Canada. I was able to use the knowledge, resources, and strategies I gained and put them into practice to help my clients clear their skin with greater confidence. I'm afraid I have to disagree with doing aggressive home care and treatment plans for the majority of my acne clients. In my practice, I focus more on the holistic side of skin health, preserving the integrity of the epidermis and seeing the client as a whole person, not just the acne on their skin. I also focus much more on gut health and functional nutrition with my clients. I have several Face Reality students in this course. They wanted a different perspective on treating acne, along with more tools and resources to complement their Face Reality training in their practice.

The MBK Acne Detective Course is not currently affiliated with any governing body for CEU credits. It is a knowledge-based professional development course designed to build clinical depth and business confidence beyond what esthetics school teaches.
